SCHOLAR UPDATES

OUR SCHOLARS ARE AMAZING AND THANKS TO OUR WONDERFUL SUPPORTERS, THEY ARE IN AN EVEN BETTER POSITION TO SHARE THEIR LIGHT WITH THE WORLD.

SEE WHAT THEY'VE BEEN UP TO!

JANAE

The lifelong goal of being be a high school guidance counselor is off to a great start for Janae! She earned a summer internship with Higher Achievement (HA) of Richmond where she mentored middle school kids and helped the organization with program development.

Our founder, Kevin Jones had the chance to catch up with Janae during a ribbon cutting ceremony for HA at Wilder Middle School.

PATRICK

Hello, My name is Patrick Battle. I had the great honor of being a recipient of this scholarship. It has really helped me in my college experience! It gave me the opportunity to venture out of my hometown and be exposed to great things in state and out of the state.

Thanks to the founder Kevin Jones and all who funded. Please continue to help the students of our community to be great.

DYQUASHIA

Hello. My name is Dyquashia Vick. I was more than honored to be able to receive the BAC Scholarship. Without the help of you all, I probably wouldn't have been able to branch away from everything I was used to in order to create a better me and a better society.

Saying “thank you” will never be enough to show how grateful I am for each and every one of you that made attending a 4 year university possible. Attending a university has allowed many different opportunities to come my way.

This is a picture of me with the chancellor of UNC-Pembroke and his wife, Mrs. Carter at their home having dinner while discussing how we can make a better community on and off campus! Thank you all again (:

ZAKIYAH

I would like to send special thanks to BAC for all your help and support in helping me to achieve my aspiration of attending college. I love it here at Winston-Salem State University! I take pride in my HBCU and am enjoying all opportunities I have been given. I am very active on campus and enjoy being a RAM!

Thanks again for your contribution and look forward to seeing the success of the up and coming 2016 BAC Scholars!!!
