BAC Scholarship Fund has expanded their impact to RVA!
We're excited to be a part of the Richmond community and we are looking forward to creating scholars and changing the lives of tomorrow's leaders!!
WHO WE SERVE & WHAT WE DO?
The BAC Scholarship Fund serves students in Richmond Public Schools through scholarship and mentorship.
Through our growing network of supporters, we not only empower children to achieve academic success but we also help them acquire mentors and eventually internships based on their desired career paths --- better positioning them to compete in today's global economy.
To further invest in our leaders of tommorrow, we also award scholarships to graduating seniors in Richmond Public Schools through contributions from individuals and organizations in the community!
WHY WE DO IT?
According to Richmond Public Schools, roughly 40% of the city's school age children live in poverty and 75% qualify for free and reduced lunch. In many cases, these statistics are caused by educational, informational and opportunity gaps that often times span many generations. We are committed to closing those gaps!
Children have the aspiration & potential to be better than the generation before them --- to be the best version of 'possible' that they can be.
Every child's success depends on how they define the word 'possible'. It is up to us to pull together and make sure that their definition is one that reflects their potential!
