Medical Presentation
At the end of her freshman year at Winston-Salem State University, Zakiyah earned the opportunity to present her research revolving around Type II Diabetes at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Zakiyah has solid goals in place to make a difference in the world through medicine and she is off to a fantastic start!
We can't wait to see what Zakiyah does next!
PhD!
Zakiyah's time in Winston-Salem is winding down and she will be headed north on Interstate 95 in a few months to attend Rutgers University as a PhD candidate in their Joint Graduate Program in Toxicology as a PhD candidate at Rutgers University!

Graduation!
After 4 years of hard work and taking challenges head on, Zakiyah is officially an alumna of Winston-Salem State University!
She is off to Rutgers to pursue her PhD and we could not be more proud!
