Living the Dream
Sophomore year at Wake Forest University is off to a great (not to mention busy) start for Aaron as he is experiencing success not just in the classroom, but also on the court!
Aaron's tenacity in living his dreams earned him a spot on the Wake Forest Demon Deacon basketball team!
We wish Aaron the best as he continues to achieve multi-dimensional success in Winston-Salem!
Choosing to Serve
BACSF President, Kevin Jones was invited out to the Peacemakers of Rocky Mount to read aloud to the kids during their summer camp and had the chance to catch up with Aaron! Aaron is going into his Junior year at Wake Forest and is doing extremely well!
Aaron spent the Summer of 2017 serving as camp leader and a great example for the children of South Rocky Mount to follow!
The best is yet to come!
Year # 4
"My collegiate journey has been nothing short of special. I accomplished my lifetime goal of playing ACC basketball, and formed lasting relationships with coaches, teammates, faculty, classmates, and obviously, I learned a lot!
Over the past couple of summers, I've job shadowed at Taylor Financial Strategies and interned at Northwestern Mutual. My time spent at these firms piqued my interest in financial services.
I am proud to say that after graduation I will be working at BB&T as a Wealth Associate Relationship Manager in the Triad Area.
The BAC Scholarship is phenomenal, as it helped take a good chunk of the financial burden off of my parents in my first year. Thank you, BAC Scholarship committee, for investing in my future. I'm excited to be in the position where I can give back to such a great cause."
Graduation!
Four years have come and gone and Aaron is officially a graduate of Wake Forest University!
Aaron will leave Wake Forest after earning a degree in Economics and will begin his professional career with BB&T.
He is pictured here with his mother, who may be even happier about graduation than he is! :)

A quick update on Aaron --- life is good.
In addition to doing great things in his career, Aaron recently got married and more recently he and his wife purchased their first home!
